E Scores Her First Soccer Goal!

This soccer season has been tremendous for E. She has a wonderfully fun-loving coach and a team full of great kids who are all out for the love of the game. They come with different experience levels, but treat each other with such respect and joy it's been a wonder to behold each practice and game day.

May 15 was the team's best game of the season. (Did they win? I couldn't tell you. I'm sure someone keeps track of the score, but most of us seem only to be aware that both teams have scored something or other, then move on.) But our players passed, booted and defended with the best of the other team's players. And, much to her joy, E scored her first ever soccer goal in competition. It was a righteous goal, and she is pretty proud of it.
