Shaving - What a Touchy Subject

Who knew armpit shaving could be such a spark! Since I posted my missive about my personal shaving habits I lost 20 subscribers, gained 24 more, and have heard from friends and relatives who felt compelled to expose their 'pit habits (strangely like mine have been for the past three months). The April 1 entry, which was, by the way, not a joke, has been among the most-frequently read blog entries in BFA history, and more people have clicked through the links from this entry than from nearly any other previous entry.

Clearly, the 'pit issue is important, or the piece was entertaining, or there are just some voyeuristic people with a penchant for 'pit hair.

So, if you think you're the only one who would rather not shave, but don't have the courage to confess to your friends, tell me about it. Preferably here, where your words might encourage others to care for themselves bravely - whether that means shaving or not. Or blog about it, and post your 'pit-related linky here.

  1. Hmmmm... Well, I would love not to shave, but pure out of simple laziness. I am, by nature, a pretty moist-bodied girl, and the result if not shaving usually becomes a very unpleasant experience for me and anyone very close to me. So, all laziness aside, I am a MUCH fresher person when I do shave. The hairy approach does not work for me and my body. Antiperspirants are a must for me (lymph issues or not).

  3. Funny, Jen. Unfortunately I like to shave because I like wearing sleeveless shirts. And swimming. But also, since my hormones stopped working, I don’t have much to shave anyways.
